Japanese companies may hold a ceremony for prospective employees or a training camp before the actual employment start date. If you plan to return to your home country temporarily after graduation, be sure to consider the schedule of your company.
Work clothing
Since requirements vary depending on the company, industry and type of work, confirm the company’s internal rules during your interview or other meeting. Suits are generally worn in office settings.
Review your lifestyle
Once you enter the workforce, you will probably go to work at a designated time each day. Since actual traffic conditions and commuting times may differ from when you went to the company for an information session or interview, do a test commute during the designated commuting time before you start work.
